2. Having keywords in title tag

The title tag is one of the most important factors how a search engine would rank your blog page because it appears in search engine results page. The title tag is actually taken from the blog post title. Hence, make sure each post title of your blog that not only catches people’s attention, but also have the shorlisted keywords in it to attract search engine spiders.

3. Having keywords in meta description tag

The meta description will be showing in search engine results page together with your blog post title. Hence, it’s also very important to have a keyword-rich description in meta description tag for each blog post. However, as a warning, you shouldn’t just fill your meta description tag with all the targeted keywords that you shortlisted because the visitors will not understand what your page is about. If you want the visitors to click on it and visit your blog, make sure the meta description is readable friendly.

4. Having keywords in meta keywords tag

The meta keywords tag is where you can list all the targeted keywords you shortlisted to provide search engines with additional information about your blog pages. Keep in mind that there shouldn’t have any duplication of keywords in meta keywords tag, otherwise there may be a possibility that your blog be classified as “spam” by search engines.

5. Having keyword-rich content but with accepted keyword density

Of course, I’m not asking you to optimize your blog content to the extend where your post is full of targeted keywords. You should always write your blog post with readers in mind as well. Keep in mind that the targeted keywords should not be overused or repeated with every other word on every line. This is also to prevent your blog from being categorized as an artificial or spam site. The accepted standard for keyword density should be between 3% and 5%.
